Edit a photo with the help of the settings layers and, if applicable, with cut masks and masks. Make at least one color change or correction, pay attention to color stitches or intentionally give the picture a different tint. You can also change a single area or object in color. Improve exposure and contrast in the image. Make at least one correction that relates to a certain area of the image and therefore includes a mask. Edit the Photoshop file with embedded color profile and all layers.
Make a simple montage of at least two photos by inserting an object or simple object (please do not have people or animals in this module if you have never uncovered them) into another photo, so that it looks as if the two objects were photographed together. Clear the object you want to insert with the help of a mask. You can also adjust both images to each other in exposure, contrast and colors. Edit the Photoshop file with embedded color profile and all layers.
Find a cityscape or a portrait that you have photographed yourself and retouch it so that there are no more disturbances (lint, scratches, disturbing elements, etc. ). Save this intermediate status as a PSD file with all layers. Retouching is an important point in the evaluation. In a copy of this image, reduce all layers to the background layer. Now create your own color look for your image. A color look should always represent a special processing of colors and contrasts that gives the picture a special and ideally recognizable style. This can be, for example, a cartoon-like look or a picture in the style of the 50s, or a faded and scratched black-and-white picture that looks like from an old photo album, etc. Many photographers and image editors have developed a signature that makes their pictures unmistakable. You can create the Polaroid look or just create an interesting monochrome implementation.
Use layer masks to free a person and mount them against a different background. Please pay attention to an exact free plate! You can edit the mask in detail with your painting tools. The requirements for a thesis are significantly higher than at the beginning of the course. It is important to match colors, contrasts, perspective and overall look. If possible, the picture should look unassembled. Make at least one retouching to remove disturbing elements in the background and/or in the person photo. You can also do a skin retouching. Remember that the light in the background should also match the light on the person. Light moods are important. Wrong or different illumination of the model and the background are quickly noticed by the viewer. Very important is the right perspective, i. e. the shooting height and the distance of the camera. This should already be correct in the photo, you can hardly correct it in Photoshop. Pay attention to a coherent overall picture of your installation.
